Collection: Ji Songlin

“Ji Songlin's work immerses us in the fragmented nature of memory, capturing fleeting moments and sensations that often go unnoticed. His art invites us to reflect on our own personal narratives and how our memories shape our identity."

Born in 1988 in Wuwei, Anhui, China, Ji Songlin is a multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Lille. His artistic practice encompasses painting, sculpture, video, and photography.
Ji Songlin's work is profoundly influenced by his experiences serving in the Chinese military. This military background has shaped his critical perspective, leading him to explore the absurdity of repetitive daily actions.
Through his series of digital photographs, which re-photograph his existing pictures or, in his own words, “memories” and “moments”, Ji Songlin delves into the fragmented nature of memory. His works capture fleeting moments and emotions that often escape our notice, inviting viewers to reflect on their own personal narratives and how memories shape our identities.
